As the only accredited school of public health in the Rocky Mountain region, we take a trailblazing approach to the science and art of public health. We believe in blending research and practice, using what we’re learning and applying it in the real world, in real-time to improve health. We know that to tackle big issues—like health disparities and climate change—we have to get creative and collaborative.

The Office of Public Health Practice, Planning, and Local Partnerships (OPHP) at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment supports public health throughout Colorado by promoting collaborations, partnerships, and planning; by serving as liaisons and linking local public health agencies to each other and to state and national entities; and by providing consultation and technical assistance.

Greeting cards are a time-tested, thoughtful gesture for letting someone know you’re thinking about them during a special time or life event. Yet there are few greeting cards that support someone’s recovery from addiction. The Recovery Cards Project was created by Colorado’s anti-stigma campaign, Lift The Label, to spotlight the importance of recovery. Working with artists in Colorado and nationwide, we designed these cards to celebrate recovery, the efforts of those working to achieve it, and the people who support and encourage them every day.
